Tom Dolan is Reseach Associate and Centre Co-ordinator for the International Centre for Infrastructure Futures (ICIF). Current research interests include infrastructure perception and conceptualisation, future scenarios, systems thinking, decision support, performance measurement and public policy.
Tom is currently editing the Conference Proceedings for ISNGI 2014 and is guest editor to a special issue ‘Next Generation Infrastructure: From Complex Technological Artefacts to Agents of Social Change’ of the International Journal of Complexity in Applied Science and Technology.
For his EngD, Tom undertook a four year multi-disciplinary research project to analyse the impact of European environmental, water and agricultural legislation on water company investment planning processes, member state regulators and other stakeholders.
Tom holds an Executive MBA and MSc Economics for Natural Resource and Environmental Management from Cranfield University.
